Davenport’s Rick Barlett Wins 2025 Virtual Brackets Tournament

Davenport, Iowa – Congratulations to Rick Barlett (Davenport, IA) for winning the 2025 Virtual Madness tournament!!

Rick defeated Bobby Lienen (Davenport, IA) 730-679 in the finals.

For the tournament, Rick bowled his league games at Leisure Lanes (Davenport) in the Cal Whitmore Tri City Classic League and totaled 3491 over 5 games… for a 698 series average.

Virtual Madness is a scratch tournament where entrants bowl against each other, in bracket format, while bowling in their regular leagues and entering those scores for competition.

This tournament was open to all bowlers bowling leagues within a 45-mile radius of the Quad Cities/Davenport, IA which includes bowling centers in the Quad Cities Metro, as well as Muscatine, Durant, Tipton, Maquoketa, Clinton, & Camanche (in Iowa) -AND- Milan, Fulton, & Geneseo (Illinois). Bowlers who entered the tournament this year bowled in leagues at centers in Davenport, Bettendorf, Muscatine, Clinton, Camanche, & Maquoketa (all in Iowa).

The plan for this tournament next year will be to have it as a tournament specific to a certain pocket of Eastern Iowa, which will include all bowlers bowling at establishments within 75 miles of Davenport, Iowa and will reach out to include cities such as Muscatine, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque and all points in between.
